December Newsletter

Good afternoon everyone,

As we head into the final stretch of 2025, I wanted to send a final update before we break for Christmas. It has been an incredibly busy, productive, and exciting year for TMMA, and I cannot thank you enough for your continued support, commitment, and trust in the club. To look back at the past 12 months and see this club grow from a handful of students at the start of the year, to a now thriving community across 6 different venues over the entire county of Herefordshire is a really proud feeling for me. I truly never expected to be able to achieve what we have acheived, and it’s all thanks to the amazing parents and students. So, thank you.

The club we’ve grown together, the community that’s formed and the team we’ve got is truly second to none. 2025 will 100% be a year for the TMMA history books!

Enough of the heartfelt-ness now, time to say what you’ve actually opened this email to read! 😀

(one last thank you though 🙂 )

Christmas Fun Week – 15th to 19th December

Our final week of classes before Christmas will be our annual Christmas Fun Week.
Students are encouraged to come in Christmas jumpers, Santa hats, elf costumes, reindeer ears, or anything festive and comfortable to train in. Uniform is not required for classes this week, however is of course welcomed if students feel more comfortable. If students come in christmas outfits/jumpers etc, then belts are not required. However, if a student comes in a TMMA top, then as usual a belt will be expected.

Sessions will be filled with end-of-year games, challenges, prizes, and a big focus on celebrating everything the students have achieved across 2025. It is always one of the best weeks of the year and a brilliant way to finish the term on a high.

Term Break and Return Dates

Our final classes of 2025 will run on Friday 19th December.
We will then take our annual 2-week Christmas break and return to normal classes on:

Monday 5th January 2026

I hope everyone enjoys a well-deserved rest over the holidays, students have worked extremely hard all year and should be proud of everything they’ve accomplished.

A “Well Done” to You

Across all venues this year, students have shown incredible progress in skill, behaviour, confidence, discipline, and attitude. Whether your child joined this month or has been with us for years, you are all a huge part of TMMA’s continued growth and success.

It has been fantastic seeing:

• new venues thriving
• more confident beginners developing into strong martial artists
• our sparring groups growing
• our juniors stepping up as role models
• the LEAD Team applications showing real leadership potential

Thank you for playing such an active role in the TMMA community.

2026: The Year of the TMMA Rebrand

As many of you already know, we are beginning a full redesign of TMMA which will begin rolling out from January.
This will include:

• our brand-new uniforms (full uniform karate gi style)
• a refreshed logo and adapted colour scheme
• an updated syllabus
• improved grading structure
• new website and members’ area
• an online shop
• clearer communication channels
• and a more unified, professional feel across all venues

This rebrand is the biggest step forward we’ve ever taken and will set the tone for the next chapter of TMMA as we continue expanding, improving, and raising standards year on year.

More information will be shared throughout January as each stage of the rebrand is introduced.

Wishing You All a Merry Christmas

Finally, from me personally, thank you for another brilliant year.
It has been a privilege to coach your children and to see so many of them grow in confidence, discipline, and skill. TMMA is what it is because of the people in it, and I’m genuinely excited for everything we’ll achieve together in 2026. Who knows what’s around the corner?

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Enjoy the break, stay safe, and I look forward to seeing everyone back on the mats in January.

Many thanks,
Troy
