October Newsletter

Hi everyone,

What a month it’s been at TMMA! October has been packed with energy, milestones, and proud moments across all our classes, and it’s been brilliant to see so much progress from every student.

October was a fantastic month for TMMA. We had Lacey earning her Black Belt after 12 years of training. This achievement is the result of years of hard work, dedication, and consistency, and showing exactly what can be achieved when you stay committed to your goals. 🥋

We also ran our first ever Parent Participation Week during the October half term, and it was fantastic to see so many parents stepping onto the mats. This, combined with Halloween Week was a very fun experience indeed! The energy in the classes was amazing, and it was great to watch parents experience first-hand what their children do each week. Thank you to everyone who joined in and made it such a fun week.

Another huge moment for the club – TMMA has officially reached 100 students! To think that we’re only 11 months in and already at triple figures is incredible. It’s a real reflection of the effort, enthusiasm, and community that every student and parent brings to the club. I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve all built together.

Our October Monthly Challenge, “How many kicks can you do in 15 seconds?”, saw some impressive effort across the club. The focus, speed, and determination on display was brilliant. A massive well done to everyone who took part – and a special congratulations to our challenge winners, we’ll be handing certificates and medals out in class this week!

Now, onto what’s coming up in November.

We’re officially on the countdown to grading, which will take place on Sunday 7th December. Eligibility emails have now been sent out, so make sure to check your inbox for your child’s details. We do have strict eligibility requirements, so if you haven’t received an email, no worries! It just means that your name will be down for our next grading in the new year. Over the next few weeks, classes will be focused on sharpening technique and building confidence ready for the big day.

This month’s TMMA Challenge will push fitness levels to the next level – how many burpees can you do in 20 seconds? Students will get the chance to test themselves each week and see who can take the top spot by the end of the month.

Finally, applications are now open for our LEAD Team (Coaching Team). The deadline to apply is November 30th, and the selection and training process will begin in December. Our new coaching team will officially step onto the mats in January, helping lead and inspire the next generation of TMMA students.

October was another fantastic month, and I’m so proud of how far the club has come. Thank you again to every student, parent, and family member for your continued support – TMMA wouldn’t be what it is without you.

See you on the mats,
Troy 👊
